Majestically perched on a carnelian crystal skull, this Eagle of Freedom remains ever vigilant and strong. Carved from a single piece of beautiful translucent carnelian, this crystal skull and eagle sculpture commands respect and receives awe inspired praise and admiration. An outstandingly detailed carving from such a fine grade of carnelian as this puts this work of art at the top of its class, which is where an eagle would be…high above at the top.

President John F. Kennedy, in July of 1961 wrote: "The founding fathers made an appropriate choice when they selected the bald eagle as the emblem of the nation. The fierce beauty and proud independence of this great bird aptly symbolizes the strength and freedom of America." Anyone who has ever seen an eagle will agree with these words. Even the Roman Empire recognized the power behind the symbolism of the eagle, as do many countries to this day, including the United States.

Skullis Crystal Skulls wants to wish you all a happy 238th birthday America! We hope you have a fun, safe, and wonderful Independence Day celebration this July 4th! Though some people around the world might give America a bad rap, we feel it is important that we all remember that America symbolizes the great ideal that different peoples from different cultures can learn to live together in peace and unity, ironing out their differences and even agreeing to disagree, while at the same time accepting different peoples as our fellow Earthwalkers, friends, family, and loved ones! It’s been a hard road, and both mistakes and triumphs have been made along the way, which is true for every culture, but we feel confident that when speaking for the thirty thousand plus of members of our Skullis Crystal Skulls family worldwide, we think you’re doing just fine! Where all men are created equal. Where we have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Where we are indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Happy Birthday America!

Carnelian instills leadership, initiative, stamina, courage and determination. It encourages a sense of community and practicality, values, morality, and generosity, and enhances one’s ability to communicate with refined articulation and persuasion. Carnelian is symbolic of sunrise and sunset, the transitory periods of the day that connects two realms. It is balance and shares the ability to understand people by seeing the world through their eyes and empathizing with them. Lighter shades of carnelian are representative of the feminine aspects of our being, while the darker shades are associated with masculine energies. Carnelian is used to amplify and strengthen love, passion, and desires, and to enhance fertility and can be used to aid in conception.

Eagles symbolize the ability to rise above menial situations, the taking of a higher road, the conscious choosing in one’s physical existence to do what is best for the spiritual growth of oneself, as well as that of others in one’s life. When one chooses this path for their journey, the eagle becomes a symbol of freedom, skill, vision, power, and inspiration.

The eagle is considered by some Native American Indians to be the earthly incarnation of the great Thunderbird spirit whose massive wings beat together to produce thunder, sending energy rippling across the interconnected cosmos, bringing cleansing rain and with it new life force.
