The Fairyfly encourages us to remember how to see the world with wonder and awe, and to allow ourselves to again experience joy and beauty first hand. We can do this by letting go of the desire to understand and explain the whys of the world and nature, by choosing instead to perceive our world with our hearts, with acceptance and gratitude.
The Fairyfly crystal skull and butterfly encourage us to appreciate that our time here is indeed a privilege. The Fairyfly promotes the understanding that just because we may not personally see or interact with the vast diversity of plants and animals of the Earth does not mean we can discount that our individual actions, beliefs, and attitudes have a direct impact on the lives and welfare of our Earthmates.
The Fairyfly inspires us to be more aware of what we can do as individuals to ensure the health and preservation of the Earth and the great variety of life we currently enjoy sharing our home with. The Fairyfly fire agate crystal skull and butterfly sculpture gives emphasis to the importance of our taking action now, at this time and in this moment. There is no time to think about what we might do. The Fairyfly encourages us to not wait until a drastic event causes us to acknowledge what we are already aware of, that we are the one's responsible for what the future of our world will be like.
Butterflies represent transformation, expansion, growth, and access to new worlds and abilities. The butterfly energy assists one to be flexible and adaptable to the continual changes brought by the life experience. The butterfly symbolizes a joyful, graceful, and effortless embrace of these changes. Butterflies represent the ability of changing one's personality and attitudes to more positive expressions, encouraging rejuvenation and rebirth of the mind, emotions, and spiritual consciousness. The butterfly inspires peace and a playful approach to one's experiences.
Butterflies are considered to be symbols of the soul. Chinese symbology considers the butterfly a symbol of immortality, and Ancient Greeks viewed the butterfly as representative of the psyche and its immortality. The butterfly exemplifies the ascension from a materialistic and earth bound consciousness to the heightened awareness and deeper levels of emotional and spiritual existence, leading one to experience a new soul based way of life. New perspectives, expressions of personality, and attitudes and behaviors are all inspired by the energy of the butterfly.
Butterflies also represent the ability to perceive the positive aspects of events and situations, and the conscious decision involved during these where one may choose to experience joy and remain lighthearted, rather than experience anxiety and unrest as one succumbs to distress and despair. Usually extremely colorful, the energy of the butterfly also encourages one to freely and openly express oneself, to joyfully share love, happiness, and an enthusiastic appreciation of beauty and that which brings inspiration.
Fire agate was formed between 24 and 36 million years ago in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. During the Tertiary Period, massive volcanic activity caused heated water, containing iron oxide and silica, to permeate rocky areas, leading to the crystallization of the dissolved minerals. The iridescence within fire agate is due to the refraction of light as it passes between the layers of silica and layers of the included iron oxides, commonly referred to as limonite. This refraction gives the effect of bubbling structures within the stone, however there are no included physical formations in the stone, it is only the refraction of light in the alternating layers of limonite and silica. Fire agate is not subject to drying, scratching, or fading like some other iridescent crystals, and a gem cut fire agate is far more rare than diamonds, rubies, or emeralds.
Symbolizing the spiritual aspect of complete purity, fire agate provides protection from intentional harmful energies, reflecting them back to their source in a way that allows the sender to learn and understand the potential experiences caused by their actions. It is important that one remember to not intend for this action to be a hurtful or harmful event, but rather to focus on the experience providing an opportunity for positive growth and betterment of oneself and everyone involved. Fire agate helps one to let go of internalized fears, giving reassurance and assisting one to gain the confidence necessary to confront challenges that excite the fear responses.
Fire agate energizes and incites the processes of self examination, motivation, and insight, and
helps one to release unhealthy inclinations towards traits and characteristics that are not beneficial to mental, emotional, and spiritual growth such as greed, infatuation, attachment, lust, and all similar desires. Fire agate inspires one to strive to work toward achieving their highest potential, supplementing one with the energy necessary for, and encouraging one to seek, growth and progress.
Fire agate has been used to clear blockages in the energy system of the body referred to as the triple burner meridians, which regulate the functions in the body of intake at the thorax, transformation at the abdomen, and elimination at the pelvis. Consequently it can be used to address issues of these organs and areas of the body, bringing harmony to the heart and lungs, the functions of the stomach, spleen, and pancreas, and the functions of the liver, kidney, bladder, and large and small intestines, as well as sexual reproductive functions.
Fire agate has also been used to enhance the vision, to treat disorders and clear the eyes, and to bring optimal health to the circulatory and central nervous systems.
