You are looking at a Smelted Quartz skull. The skull is 4.8 inches from front to back.

Smelted Quartz is smelted from natural rock crystal. In the smelting lab, natural rock crystal pieces were amassed, cleaned and melted. Additives (copper and others) were mixed in, and the liquid was cooled and a large block of amazing crystal came into being. This way small pieces of rock quartz can be made into large ones. Furthermore some stunning colors may appear during the smelting process. The most striking features of this crystal are its cloud-like inclusions, random pattern and fasicinating colors. Please note the item in this auction is definitely NOT finished via moulding from liquid. It is done through regular skull carving processes- carving, grinding and polishing.
